Waste
management

What happens to the production waste – such as sawdust, leftovers and cuttings from chairs and tables?

We reuse and repurpose wood biproducts from every stage of the production process. Sawdust gets pressed into briquettes and used to heating offices, they are also used for energy production that heats up pressing machines. We donate some of the leftovers to companies that reuse them in making beautiful products such as tools for the home. A good example of this solution is the cooperation with FLID Tools.

Eikund production

Surplus leather that cannot be used in our standard production is upcycled to other products. Our partner Tärnsjö Garveri makes coasters that we include as part of the dining table package and leather pouches to our Fluffy brush.

Our production is managed with an internal environmental system. Waste is sorted according to our recycling structure into combustible, cardboard, metal, plastic, and landfill.
