Eikund – August 2026
Norrøna x Eikund
Rooted in Norwegian heritage and their love for quality and craftsmanship
A couple of decades before the first Eikund designs came to life, Norrøna had already started on their quest: to make outdoor gear the last thing you thought about when you were outside – because it would just work.
Their search for quality and craftsmanship has made them into a brand, that almost 100 years later, is one of the best in the world.
The attention to detail that is required to be the best is also what we saw in our designers, and it’s what we live by at Eikund when reproducing these designs. To make something of quality requires so much from every step of the process. From the sketches, the materials, the engineering, the visual, all the way to making something people actually want.
“To commit to quality will define your whole business”
Respecting the process – and curating an experience
That’s why we are so proud to have worked with Norrøna for the past years, providing their HQ, restaurant and cafe, as well as their brand stores with furniture from Eikund.
“We believe in working with people who share our values. With Norrøna, that was clear from the start”, says Jørgen Tengesdal, CCO and co-founder of Eikund.
With Norrøna House, Raymond Skjevling, former project manager and store designer at Norrøna (now retail director at Tom Wood), had a clear ambition: to create an environment that united craftsmanship, tradition and modern design – with partners who shared their view on quality, longevity and respect for materials and processes.
Eikund was the natural choice. “From the very first meeting, they stood out through their deep understanding of craftsmanship, their respect for both history and materiality, and their impressive expertise in Norwegian design heritage. It was clear that they were not simply curating iconic design objects but also safeguarding the values and stories behind them. What truly made the collaboration special was the ability to create something together – furniture that didn’t merely become part of the interior, but an integrated part of the experience and storytelling of the house.”
A view fully shared by Martin Lien, Chief Commercial Officer at Norrøna.
Some collaborations just feel right. When two Norwegian companies, shaped by the same era and the same values, come together – it’s hard to go wrong.
